April 10, 2009
The 4th Annual Sign-A-Thon is coming up on Friday, April 17 at Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services’ location at 4328 Kalamazoo Ave SE. The Sign-A-Thon is a yearly event hosted by Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and we do skits, jokes, stories on deaf culture and get to know each other more. We take this unique opportunity to recognize deaf history, culture, sign language, and acknowledge people who support the community.
We are raising money for this event and your contribution would be much appreciated. It will greatly assist Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services in expanding our current services for the Deaf and hard of hearing community. Our programs and services include, but are not limited to, job development and placement, adaptive equipment, mental health, interpreter referral, sign language classes, and advocacy in Grand Rapids and surrounding counties.
Upon receiving your donation, we will recognize you or your organization at the Sign-A-Thon event itself and put your name in our upcoming newsletter.
Please send a check or money order payable to Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, P.O. Box 4418, Kentwood, MI 49518-8812, or call our agency at 616-732-7358 to pledge a donation.
