  1. This is a valuable resource in bringing into the Deaf community ideas from other groups. They make us think and search for new applications.

    This one was interesting because it has parallels with Deaf acceptance, Deaf culture, parent considerations, “semi-cures” such as cochlear implants, and social attitudes.

    While we don’t consider ourselves disabled, it should make us think twice that autism spectrum people also don’t consider themselves disabled, and make the implication that the autism itself often comes with unique gifts.
